- The gel prevents the growth of scar tissue and reduces scars. It also reduces redness, swelling, and pain (anti-inflammatory).
- It is suitable for use in patients with thick scars above the skin surface and sometimes with a different color than the surrounding skin, and inhibitors of movement, and cosmetically disfigured scars resulting from surgery, amputation, burn, or accident. Suitable in case of contractions, such as Dupuytren's contracture (continuous finger bending) and rheumatoid tendon contractions, in addition to subcutaneous scars (scars below or above the skin surface).
Do not use Cepa Heparin Allantoin if:

Precautions:
- Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist before using the gel.
- Cepa Heparin Allantoin Gel contains parabens (methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate) that can cause delayed allergic reactions. This gel contains sorbic acid that can lead to local skin reactions (such as contact dermatitis).
How to use Cepa Heparin Allantoin:
- Always use the gel as described in this leaflet. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
- Apply the gel to the skin several times a day and gently massage into the scar tissue until the gel is completely absorbed.

- The treatment can last several weeks or months, depending on the size of the scar or contraction.
- In the case of recent wounds, avoid physical irritants such as extreme cold or ultraviolet rays or intensive massage.
